Andrea Cook is a culture creator, an international street artist and activist who paints images to inspire women empowerment.
Her body of art includes over 1000 paintings and murals displayed in collector’s homes and on the streets in cities all over the world. This body of work continues to grow along with her role as an artist and community advocate to empower women survivors of abuse, addiction and mental health recovery.
As a featured artist in over a 100 solo- and group shows from New York, Miami, Berlin, Montreal and Chicago, Andrea Cook’s art has been a leading influencer in the women’s empowerment movement for the past decade.
Her art debuted in 2015 with a solo show at New York City’s Museum of Sex. Three months later, her work was featured at the Art on Paper show in Miami, where it was recognized and published by Wallpaper Magazine as one of the “finest works” in the Art Basel annual review.
With artist residencies in France, New York City and upstate New York, Andrea finds inspiration and space to not only make gallery art, she also creates hand-painted street art posters and stickers that she puts up on the street, “painting the cities with empowerment.” .
With each piece of art, she hopes to connect with the viewer to provoke a sense of belonging, hope, healing, power and recovery.
